To be an elite lady trader
I’ve been declaring this to the universe since time immemorial – my life goal is to be an elite lady trader.
What is an elite lady trader for me?
My definition is to be one of the best, to be consistently profitable through decades of trading. To be able to manage my own private fund and grow it significantly in triple to quadruple digits if possible.
I know this recommendation is an opinion, but I truly thank the reviewer. If for some all I do is boast off my performance, the reality is I should be my biggest fan. I should trade best even if no one is clapping. I should be excellent in every trade I do. I should do well when no one watches me, when no one likes my posts, when no one cheers for me.
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t need to compete or compare myself with other traders. Why? Simply because our trader profiles may be different. Our fund sizes are different. Our strategies are different. To compare is absolutely nonsense. I play a game against myself. My teammate, sometimes my enemy, is the markets. I wanna believe we’re awesome playmates.
Did you guys know I have competed in a trading competition before? It was a trading game initiated by a leading newspaper. Wala pang sikat na online platforms noon, wala pang mga mentors ngayon. To qualify, you need to send a write-up about your trading experience and yourself. Laptop ‘yung main prize. You need to write an “order form” if you wanna buy or sell a stock. We also had codenames. I was winning during the early stages of the game when I had to quit because I had to take care of my sick father. Months after the start of the game, I lost my father. It took toll on my psychological being.
I’m also not talking about free or paid education, mentorships, tech start-ups related to trading, stock brokering, affiliate marketing, building communities, public speaking, etc. I think these fields are related to trading but not the “trading essence” I aspire. These are great, I support these things, there are people who are passionate in these fields. In my case, my focus has been trading solely.
I am a lone wolf in my trading cave for many years. And I’m happy.
