My kind of map is this: My properties all over the Philippines

Here are my tips and advice to breadwinners, cyclebreakers, panganays, OFWs and all those in the sandwich generation:

1. As breadwinners and cyclebreakers, remember this rule: Don’t be too hard on yourself.

It took me years to learn the art of saying “no,” simply because people have been used to our yeses.

Everytime I say “no” before, I would feel bad as if I felt inadequate.

Remember: Kapag hindi talaga kaya ibigay, it is alright. It doesn’t make us less as a provider. We are being practical and we are teaching others to be less dependent on us too.

Hindi mo kailangan akuin lahat ng responsibilidad.

2. Take care of ourselves.

There are stories of OFWs who come back home for good with no savings left. There are parents neglected in their old age after taking care of their kids.

Technique ko ganito: Think as if we cannot depend on anyone.

So I secured my insurances, properties and sources of passive income and most importantly my own CASH.

Kaya save for yourself naman.

3. Our communication language can be misunderstood; Speak out of our pure love to give.

Magbigay tayo dahil bukal sa puso natin.

Minsan tayo ‘yung misunderstood; nakakapagsalita tayo kapag pagod tayo, nashoshort or namomoblema.

4. Teach others to be less reliant. Teach others to fish.

Meron din na nagttrabaho on their own.

5. Enjoy the process of provision.

Aside from money, the best thing we can provide is TIME.

Buy TIME with MONEY.

Kaya nga may FIRE or Financial Independence, Retire Early.

This map is a reminder of my humble beginnings: From being ousted from our old apartment which we could not pay rent for, to conquering places all over the country.

Maraming salamat sa Diyos at sa trading universe.
