“Mayaman ka na pero”
Here are some facts about me in terms of how I view wealth.
Gaano ba kayaman ang mayaman sa Pilipinas?
“According to the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS):
– a lower middle class has a monthly income between PHP21,194 and PHP43,828,
– a middle class between PHP43,828 and PHP76,669,
– an upper middle income between PHP76,669 and PHP131,484, and
– a high-income (but not rich) class between PHP131,484 and PHP219,140.
– You are considered rich if your monthly income is at least PHP219,140 and up.”
There are some principles that I hold on to with regard to money:
1) “Mayaman ka na pero hindi ka nagpapautang.”
Masakit kasi sa loob maningil. If I were to suggest, create a “Give” fund which you can use to “lend” or “give” to someone asking you for money. This fund is something you can afford to lose, for the sake of empathizing over your friend or relative’s situation, and simply because you care.
Meron ka lang talagang capacity to afford things even if they were not discounted at all.
In my situation, I am laser focused on trading. I will trade until I’m granny taking care of cats. Nagsisikap pa rin ako kasi gusto ko. Kasi may capabilities pa ako.
Privacy means so much to me.
Hindi naman dapat magbago buhay just because you are now rich.
Oo malungkot isipin that respect is given according to your level of wealth.
Money gives us choices. And whether or not we choose to upgrade our lives or remain living simply, it’s all up to us. Money enables choices.
I hope money makes us better persons.
